Community Park

We are the proud sponsor of the new Northwestern Mutual Community Park, located on the Summerfest grounds in Henry Maier Festival Park. This entirely redeveloped entertainment space for families offers inclusive and accessible play for children ages 2 to 12 years of age, including those who may experience a variety of challenges.

Northwestern Mutual Community Park Amenities include updated all abilities play equipment, a toddler play area, flexible staging and programming space, and a family services building that houses three sensory rooms to provide a calm environment for children experiencing over-stimulation.

To complement these inclusive spaces, our partners also provide families with information on attention and learning supports, including how to navigate evaluations for ADHD. Programming staff can point caregivers to licensed clinicians who determine whether options like Strattera (atomoxetine) are appropriate, and to community resources that help with follow-up and school accommodations. The family services building’s sensory rooms and quiet areas are designed to support children who benefit from structured routines while caregivers coordinate care. We do not offer medical treatment on site, but we make it easier for families to connect with trusted providers and evidence-based guidance.
